Project LightStand Inaugural Meeting, 2010
Project LightStand is a screenwriters cooperative focused on writing producible short films.
Approximately half of the time is spent in instruction with experienced screenwriters. The remaining time is spent work-shopping participants' screenplays. Receive valuable feedback on your writing and screenplay ideas. Table read dialogue and hear how your screenplay comes to life. Valuable networking opportunities with other local screenwriters and film makers.
We have a proven track record generating 6 completed film projects from Project LightStand alumni, several of which have garnered awards at various film festivals and competitions.
Class sessions run approximately two and one half hours. We meet every other week.
Join us for our fifth year of collaborative screenwriting essentials.

I would also like to know the location of the meeting, So that I am around that location at the right time of day. Did I miss an email from someone about the location. Any and all information about the location would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

Location is being worked out at this moment should be in Royal Oak - at Genesis Church- however please log on tomorrow for exact location and address for it may change. Sorry for the delay on location

I enjoyed the meeting very much. It was lively and informative. Also, it was nice to be in a group of like-minded, filmmaking/scriptwriting people and listen to every one's backgrounds, stories, comments. The short film by Melissa was very well done and I hope she goes far with it. I really like the short formats and look forward to writing one and maybe producing it. I think the experience will be helpful for writing feature length work.
