Introduction

I want to learn screenwriting and your group sounds like the place to be for it. I know nothing about writing screenplays but have been interested for some time. Are you kind to beginners?

Have you writen a screenplay before?

I have not.

Have you written a feature length screenplay?

I have not.

Do you have any film / video production experience?

I took acting for about a year and a half. During that time I volunteered to help a film class at Michigan Film Institute. I stood there while they pulled a tape measure to my face for lighting, testing for sound, etc. and did about 5 mins of acting. It was interesting and that's when I learned how complex the tech end of filmmaking was.

Do you want to direct your own screenplays?

I think it would be a thrill.
